Alpine Summers in Kitzbühel

Hiking Holidays

To explore our mountains with a guide, join one or more of the 20 guided hiking tours offered by the Kitzbühel tourism office – for free! While many claim they hike for the healthy exercise and unique nature, all hikers already know one of the best rewards after a lovely hike is a delicious, traditional Tyrolean snack or meal in one of the many charming alpine huts and mountain restaurants.

  • Kitzbüheler Streifzug: 1,5 km | ↗ 33 m | ↘ 32 m
This gentle hike starts in the Legendenpark and takes you to the Stadtpark, through the Jochberger Arch, to the parish church St. Andreas, along Kitzbühel's Hinterstadt until you arrive back at the Legendenpark.
  • Kitzbüheler Horn: 8,5 km | ↗ 376 m| ↘ 731 m
The Hornbahn lifts offer a scenic gondola ride up to the top station, which is 2,000 m above sea-level. From there, you can walk up to the viewing platform which offers a 360° view of our stunning alpine landscape. Then you can walk to the quaint Horn chapel, along the kids' climbing trail, to the alpine flower garden, and continue towards the Hornköpfl hut and lake. Walk up towards the Hochetzkogel and cool your hiking feet in the fresh water of the Kneipp pool. Finish your hike at the Bichlalm gondola station.

The free guided hikes offered by the Kitzbühel tourism office are available from Mondays to Fridays. Each hike has a theme and there is no need for prior registration. Simply meet your guide and fellow hikers at 9:45 am at the Hahnenkamm meeting point P2 (signposted).
